September 20, 2011

A few thoughts for sharing:

·         Love my Shepherd Group!  No one blinked an eye when I said they were all expected to lead their own in the future (I wasn’t kidding).

·         Are you a shareholder?  A shareholder is one who has ownership, has some ‘skin in the game’, isn’t simply consuming goods and services but is concerned about the overall organization.  Look around and figure out how you can be a shareholder in the Church of Jesus Christ.  The best way to accomplish a preferred future is to pray like crazy and then roll up the sleeves and get to what God has called us to get to.

·         Thank you Penny Heipel!  That piano piece was fantastic!

·         I am personally having a lot of fun with the current sermon series on “Good News in Four Parts”.  The first two messages are posted online www.harvestcomchurch.org  This coming Sunday is ‘The Good News is a Choice’.  You might read Joshua 24:14-28 and Romans 10:5-17.

·         The Leadership team meets this Thursday night for prayer.  We will be praying for you but do let us know if you have something specific info@harvestcomchurch.org

To Harvest: September 17, 2011

Hey Harvest, here are a few things I am thinking and want you to know:
  • We need to make the gospel of Jesus clear, both in our own minds and to the people we know.  We are talking about it again this Sunday, "Good News in Four Parts", this Sunday "The Good News is a Person".  It would be worth inviting people to come along!
  • Last weeks message, "The Good News is a Sacrifice" is up on our website, www.harvestcomchurch.org
  • Kingdom Kids!  I absolutely love what Lori is doing to lead that ministry!  You parents of Kingdom Kids kids (age 3-1st grade) need to get your kids there.  It might be the best thing going on on Sunday mornings!
  • I haven't come home after Youth Group any more excited about Youth Group than I did this past Wednesday.  It wasn't because of the number of kids, in fact that part was a little disappointing to be honest.  But the leaders we have for this year...off the chart.  Great leaders will lead to a great youth group.  I am praying and believing that it will be the place to be for youth kids by the end of the year!
